Minuette works with ink and watercolour to create pieces that tell a story
As a self taught artist I had never considered pursuing art as a career, so I became a Preschool teacher. Here my artistic abilities proved to be an asset, and I continued drawing, painting and world building in my spare time.
In 2017, my health took a turn for the worse. The results of which left me with an ileostomy (I’ve named him Vincent, like Van Gogh) and with a Lupus diagnosis. This being the case I’ve had to rethink my lifestyle. I could no longer keep up with prechool children, so I gave up the job that I loved. Through the many life changes I had to navigate I found comfort in my treasured hobby and escape - art.
I have now decided to take hold of my new way of life and share my passion with the world. Diving into the fantasy worlds I created and enjoyed in my free time to create much more in-depth and studied images to share my love for these stories.
I created this website to share, not only my work, but the work of other artists who believe art is not something that is meant to be kept in a cupboard or a drawer. Only together can art be truly enjoyed.
